calling all babysitters!

What do you all charge? At the moment I'm charging �5 an hour but I've been told that is far to low?

Also the age of the child and the responsibilty of the sitter should be considered. If all you need to do is sit and watch tv whilst a baby sleeps upstairs its not quite a taxing as a daytime babysitting job where you may need to entertain a 6 year old all day plus feed them and put them to bed.
You may find that you lose work by increasing your rates but only you can find out if youve priced yourself too high.
