can someone tell me what the difference is between a criminal psychologist and a forensic psychologist? what category does a criminal profiler come under as?
'Forensic psychologist' is the preferred name, as a 'Criminal psychologist' suggests a psychologist
who is also a criminal.
A person with, say, an MSc in Criminology could also
do a BSc in Psychology, and after gaining experience,
could opt to specialise in profiling.
Which degree is taken first is not important, but a
higher degree (Masters) would be required by most
employers. A PhD in either subject would be even
better.
