Floundering in new job

I have recently moved frome one job into another. I dont know whether its nerves but I just feel like I am out of my depth, it may just be the change of job but I have also moved house and have redone some sticky financial problems as a result of the new job - So it is vital that I succeed !!! and yet things all seem to be going wrong. Any tips on dealing with it??

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.hi, know exactly how you feel ... i seemed to make nothing but mistakes in the first six months of my job, although it did pass. the problem is, i dont think bosses are very good at giving positive feedback to staff ... you soon hear about it if you do something wrong, but you never hear you did it well, or even that you did it good enough!
I wouldn't worry, as long as you hear nothng to the contrary, you must assume you are doing "good enough" cause no-ones gonna tell you!

Ask for help / clarification if you need it, don't be afraid to do this, your new and not expected to know everything.
Have faith in yourself, your new bosses must of thought you could do it else they would not have gievn you the job.
enjoy your new house, and make it a place you can come home to and relax and forget the day

You need to set yourself clear and realistic targets for your work completion and also delegate where you can. Prioritise and make a list each day and break your day down into manageable goals. Plan ahead and let your boss know you are thinking in the long term with regards to achieving their standard as it is new to you and you know it will take time to become as adept and efficient as you know they would like. Ask for advice and support where you can, when it comes to your appraisal, if they are at all critical you can always feed back that you musty have been asking the wrong person for training and mentoring support.
