I have all the required gcse's but was wondering what else i would need. It says a uk degree but a degree in what? Where do i need to get it?

A degree in anything you like but hopefully connected to the subject you want to teach.

You get one by going to University.
you cant just go to university before doing a levels, so you'll have to do them first. Then you can either go direct to teacher training degree, or get an ordinary degree and do a pgce course (post graduate certificate in education)
You CAN get a University place without A-levels. You can gain a degree from The Open University (open entry). You then do a PGCE course (Post Grad Certificate in Education) which involves work placements in schools. You need to decide whether to go for primary or secondary education for the PGCE programme.
