Q A drum machine originally priced 120pound. Its sale price is 102pounds.

By what percentae was the drum machine reduced?

Please can you tell me how to work the answer out.

To find the percentage reduction, take the actual reduction (120-102=18) then divide that by the original amount (120) and multiply by 100 to turn it into a percentage. So 18/120*100=15% reduction.

Or 18/100 = 0.15

If 100 = 1.0, then 0.15 = 15%
