Does anyone know of any Environmental Consultants or Local Authorities in Australia that would consider sponsoring an Environmental Scientist? I'm desperate to relocate to Australia and am having trouble finding sponsors! Thanks loads.....

my best experience is that local authoritys dont often recruit people that dont have citizenship, usually its the big companys only, the best way in if youve got experience and are willing to take a chance is to see if your on the wanted occupations list and get a visa that way.

Alternate to OZ -- have you looked at West Coast (BC) Canada, right now we have 4% unemployment rate -- begging for workers but don't expect to start at the top, arrive take a Mac job to pay expenses --- I am one of several UK expats who tried this -- spent a couple of years on our heels but have eventually made it -- and now, well -- it's bye-bye U.K.

Having lived in Oz for several years, I think you should consult an Australian Migration Agent. If you contact Brian Jones in Adelaide at [email protected], he will send you a form to complete that assesses your chances of finding what you want. He also has direct contacts with several Recruitment Agencies.
