A friend of mine is starting nursing training soon and a friend and I wanted to get her a little relevant/helpful gift as a good luck present. On questioning her we have found that all her books are provided and there is no equipment list, so we are a little stuck!
We were thinking of a stethoscope or something like that?
Anyone have any helpful hints or suggestions?

what about one of those nurse's watches, just a thought.

how about something a little different like vouchers for a foot massage or something - easy to get hot, tired feet when you are standing for hours on end!
depends how much you wanna spend
stethoscope = 10
fob watch = 15-20
foot massage = 40
buckle = 70- 80
the things that I have found that I used the most,now a 3rd year student are
scissors
fob watch
pen torch
the student nurse handbook - not on the reading list
a manual sphygmamometer (still cant spell it lol, BP machine) to practice at home usually comes with a stethoscope
you could always get her a subscription to Nursing Times or Nursing Standard
