raising money fast

I am self-employed and have run out of money. I am owed several thousand but it will not arrive for a couple of weeks. My phone has been cut off and I owe rent. I don't have credit cards any more - cut them up! - and need to raise about �1000, or at the very least �100 to get the phone re-connected. What would you do (legally!)? I know about e-Bay etc but I don't have a lot that could be sold.

If you are not in bad credit with your bank ask for an overdraft. or if you didnt close your credit card accound ask them to send you another card.

You could try getting an online loan such as Cahoot. If your credit is okay you will be accepted. Try searching on google for low rate loans and apply for the lowest interest one- at least you get an instant response.

If not, do you have any friends or family who could help you out until the money comes in?

Thanks guys for all of that - I've very little chance of getting a loan as I'm a tenant, and in any case what I'd like to do is just get my phone re-connected! Money will arrive soon, but I always wonder whether anyone knows a good way of just getting their hands on some cash without robbing the post office!!!
