I'm in my 30s with a degree, post graduate degree and great career under my belt - but I'm deeply unhappy in the industry I work in as a whole (low pay, no ethics, future is uncertain). I want to find out what other jobs I might be able to do with my skills and qualifications (I can't afford financially to retrain, unless on the job). I just can't seem to find career advice anywhere (all geared towards school leavers etc). Is there career advice available for professionals in my position?
The official (i.e. government-funded) careers advice service for adults is provided through Learn Direct. You might find some inspiration by looking through their job profiles, here: http://www.learndirect-advice.co.uk/helpwithyo urcareer/jobprofiles/
(It often takes several attempts to load that page).
You could do the GDL, ( graduate diploma in law) this conversion is a 12 month course. Following this you could take the LPC and in another 12 months you would be on your way to be a lawyer.... then get a training contract...
