3 Answers
Hi all,
I am on th reserve list to attend an interview/selection day at afirm of Solicitors. I know that there will be a formal interview but also a 'group' task where they assess you doing stuff like problem solving in a group. Just incase I get called up im trying to prepare.
Im not asking for answers as i know all i'll get is answers saying 'well shall i do the interview for u?' but I was just asking to see if anyone knows what kind of character they r looking for..... ie the group leader, or the person who sits back and just cooperates with the team etc.....
any comments from people would be appreciated! Also from people who have been to things like this before also!

dress smartly
be on time
speak in a polite but formal tone (good telephone manner)
look up the firms website and familiarize yourself with their areas of practice and senior partners
depending on the role they may not be looking for leadership qualities rather a reliable hard worker who can work independently and cope with a heavy workload
the group problem solving probably isnt someting you can prepare for - just listen to others and assert yourself
