Handing in notice at work
6 Answers
Can someone hand in their notice at work while they are on certified sick leave? One of my sisters has been off with work related stress for 2 weeks and never wants to set foot in the place again. (She does have another job lined up).
Thanks in advance.

She shouldn't have to accept comments like she's 'past her sell by date' by other members of staff. Even if she was not doing her job properly she still shouldn't be bullied.
Of course, sometimes its easier just to have a clean break and get away.

Thanks for that twenty20. The name calling is just the tip of the iceberg & she's got a formal grievance on the go. The situation has made her physically ill and she handed her notice in today. (Another sister took her written notice in for her and the evil line manager made a sarcastic comment about how the office would now no longer smell of wee. It's a good job it wasn't me that went in because I would have not been able to keep my hands off her.)
