I had a job interview last Friday...the woman that interviewed me said she would let me know one way or the other early this week, early to me is Mon-Weds, do I take it i've been unsuccessful?

It may sound cheesy, but take the time to write a letter (not a card!) to say how nice it was to have met her, how perfectly suited you are for the job and the job is for you. And add the fact that you�re looking forward to hearing from her at her earliest convenience.

This shows your keen interest and politely adds weight to your potential employer calling you. I�ll also say, unequivocally, that these practices can be the tie-breaker that gets you the job!
