Doctors Appointments

My employer says if I take time off for a doctors appointment I MUST work extra to pay back this time, is this legal? I forgot to add I am taking this time off as unpaid

thre is no obligation for employers to give you unpaid time off for any reason, not even hospital or doctors appointments, so yes, it is legal what they are saying. Not very nice but legal
