sickness severance pay
1 Answers
Does anybody know how a company works the amount of sickness severance pay it will award . I am just over 60 and drawing my firms pension although I am still employed full time. I have worked for the company for 15 years. I have been long term sick due to a major operation and Ocupational health have said they would support a pay off . I know that equality at work act means that I should be able to work until 65 if fit. Is there a standard formula that copanies use. Thanks

I would think that anything on top of that is dependent on what severance arrangements your company offers. I don't believe there is a statutory entitlement. Such paymnents are more likely in public sector jobs.
