My son works in the shop belonging to a fitness centre...next week he has to work on Saturday from 9am to 6pm, surely he should have a break? What is the law regarding this?

Thanks

Does the shop have a constant queue to serve - hardly, in a sports club & he probably has lots of time to relax & take a bite.....at situ!

Jobs are hard to get these days - dont be too pedantic!
That's not the point. The law does allow for a 20 minute uninterrupted break after a mximum of 6 hours work, as the link says.
Break under The Working Time Regs is unpaid.
