2 Answers
Im a 35 year old mum of 2. Want to become a Primary School Teacher. Unfortunatley i dont have my Maths or Science grade C GCSE. Is there another way in? What do I need to study? Or can I go straight in as a Teaching Assistant and train on the job?

Some exam boards provide NVQ qualifications that are equivalent to GCSE - you'd need to find out where and how you can get trainng and assessment for these. I think you will find most TA jobs require NVQ level English and maths however......but check this, I could be wrong.
You may be able to do an Access course which would then allow you to complete a degree (either on leading to Qualified Teacher Status or a degree then PGCE course which also gives you QTS). Seach 'Access courses' on google. You could work as a TA and train at the same time but you do need a degree to teach (unfortunately!) so it wouldn't just be days here and there to become a fully qualified teacher.
