does anyone else using bbc i player think the picture is a bit on the soft side?
my comp is a good spec so is my graphics card
all runs well but cant tweak the sharpening as the iplayer uses adobe player
its a bit annoying
It's a side effect of the encoding that is required to compress the video to a size small enough that you can download it fast enough to view it. (the bbc encode their lower quality stuff at a bit rate of 516Kbs which is actually pretty low)

ta chuck
mine uses adobe air actually but thanks yogi, prob a souped up version of flash player,
i meant to add in my first question that i use full screen to watch these players
Yeah the iPlayer picture is pretty poor in full screen. My laptop is 17" and True HD, I have the latest Flash, and use Air as well. I waited ages for a Mac iPlayer version to come out as well as the other channel players and they are all pretty poor
