I went Bankrupt in 1999 for 3 years. I understand it takes 6 years to come off your credit record. When can I stop declaring it whenever I apply for jobs that ask have I ever been bankrupt?

If trhe question is what you say - "have you ever been bankrupt" then you always have to declare it. If you don't and they find out you could have problems - such as being dismissed from the job (if you got it) for giving inaccurate information. However, this would probably depend on the view the employer took of the offence.
