My mother-in-law works as club secratary. It was a paid job for a few hours work a week (�35)
The comittee then voted her out of the secrataries job, are they allowed to do this as it was a paid job, do the club owe holiday pay ect?

of course the comittee can vote for her to be removed from the job,thats what they are there for,and as for holiday pay,i doubt it very much,as it was only a few hours a week.

I suggest she seeks legal advice because if she is being paid, she is an employee/worker and therefore has certain protection against dismissal

she is entitled to both holiday pay and can claim unfair dismissal at a tribunal she needs to have worked 12 months to have full rights but holiday pay is a statutory right
