My father recently passed away and my mum is keen to sell his car so she doesn't see it every time she looks out the window.

Can we go ahead and sell it or do we have to wait until probate is granted and the estate sorted out? (She and I are joint beneficiaries)

If he left a will making you and/or your mum executors then yes you can.

If not, then technically you can't. In reality it's not likely that anyone will object.
