No holiday pay?
My nephew who has worked full time for a couple of years as a strimmer and chainsaw worker,cutting verges and motorways etc. Told me that he has never had holiday pay? If he takes a week off he get no pay. and i know has never taken his full wack (24 days)
His boss who is a one man band employs him,
I asked my nephew if he was self-employed but told he is on the books as a employee. His boss gives him a wage envelope each week with stamp and tax deducted written on front . He has no contract, but he must get paid holiday dont he?

However, actually getting his full entitlements is another thing altogether. It would be very easy for his boss to dismiss him - he would only have to say that there is not enough work to justify employing him.
He could take it to a tribunal where he would win but it is doubtful he would have a job at the end of it all.
