A couple of weeks ago I put on a question at small claims court and an item I sold for 35. Since then I have had a letter from the person concerned stating they give me 14 days to reply with payment of 135 or they are going ahead with court. The letter was very annoying as it stated a lot of untrue things about the sell and made it look like I knew it was on its last legs that is why I sold it off.Which is very untrue. And he also says "he will fight to the death" to get his money back. Should I see someone from citizen advice or just wait until my court letter ten give them my side of the story.? Many thanks in advance

I take it this is the low value item sold on eBay which was collected by a friend of the buyer and he is claiming travelling expenses as well as a refund.

It would be very useful if we can see the eBay listing.

Wait till the Court letter arrives. 9 times out of 10 it is an empty threat, as previously stated it costs alot more than 35 to even issue proceedings never mind take the matter all the way to a hearing.
Reply to the letter saying your a high class solicitor.
