tennant v landlord
Hi, please can someone help! If a tennant is evicted from a property with 24hours notice, can the landlord legally with hold the rent that was paid 6months in advance. Their reason being they are unable to access the property below to switch on water supply????????????

What was the reason for the eviction - was it because they could not provide a water supply? If so, then they should have known that before renting out the property and are undoubtedly liable & should repay the rent without delay. If they don't you should go to Court.
Of course, if there was no water supply I can't imagine that you would have wanted to stay there anyway - but that doesn't remove the landlord's liability.
