Annual Leave
Hi,
I know this is petty but it's really winding me up:
I work a 7.5. hour day. I have a half day annual leave planned this week and have been told that a half day in work this week would be 8-12, four hours.
Surely a half day would be 3.75 hours, finishing at 11:45?
does anyone know of any information that might clear this up for me. I know it's only 15 minutes but i don't see why i should work when i won't be paid for it.
thanks in advance.

I work 8 hours but 1 of them is meant to be lunch hour (although I never get to take it), so half day is half of the 7 hours which i normally work, so 3&half. Your calculation is right on the basis that you usually work for the full 7 and half hours and that no breaks are included in that figure.
