A CO DIRECTOR RESIGNED ME AT COMPANIES HOUSE - NO PERMISSION
1 Answers
My business partner, or his wife who was the company secretary, went on-line to companies house and resigned me as a director. The company was/is dormant, nevertheless I did not give my permission or authorisation for them to do this. I contacted companies house who noted it, but want little to do with it and referred said I should refer it to the police. They will not do much. I believe this is illegal - any advice ?

This removes you as a directror, as you know.
In fact they could argue that they held a board meeting and decided to dismiss you as a director and then filled in the form. If the company is dermant, then it would not be trading and there would be no salary etc, so I suppose they can argue you have lost nothing, so it is not an "unfair dismissal" in employment law terms.
I'm sure there are those more knowledgable about company law than me, but it looks to me as if there may be little you can do if that is what they have done.
Have you spoken or written to them asking what is going on?
