in which the subject of receipts has arisen. Can anyone tell us if it is against the law not to give a receipt. The shop that did not give the receipt was Greggs. I was of the opinion that a large concern like this would give receipts automatically but . . .?
If you do not complain you get no better the next time, I bought a well known brand of loo roll and all the perforations were out, inconvenient you may say? Well I emailed them and got £10 of vouchers!!
Pinki - I know this is digressing on this thread somewhat, but there is a principle involved here. Don't knock it. To some of us they are extremely important ☺
Why should you pander to Greggs? Whatever it is you should be able to get good value for your money. I don't care if it is a sausage less sausage roll or a meat less meat pie, why should you give your money to a large company who have millions of pounds while you are working hard for peanuts (not literally of course)
I truly think you are all missing my point. Steak Bake, no meat. Would you put it down to experience if you bought a TV and it only showed black and white pictures?
But at least this way Greggs are getting bad publicity, because I for one will know not to buy any of their steak slices (or whatever). Surely this is not what they want?
