A company offered a product for 20 pounds on its website, however within the standard terms stated that they reserved the right to increase the price by 10%. I emailed the owner of company stating that i wanted to pay a fixed price of 20 pounds, to which i received a reply stating that they agreed to sell at 20 pounds and to order off the website. I ordered, pressing 'accept' to the standard terms and was charged 22 pounds on my debit card. Was this legal?
Go back to the company with the proof that it was agreed that you would pay 20 and ask them for their repsonse. It will be far easier to deal with them directly than to try any legal or legislative action.
