Oh my god im in court tomorrow!!!

The long awaited court case starts tomorrow and I am absolutely terrified! My friends have been doing their best to keep my mind off of things but I just cant believe its here already! I dont know if I can face being in the same room as him even though I wont be seeing him!!! I just want to run away and hide!!!!

Its a domestic violence case against my ex its taken a year to get to crown court!! But I am terrified of seeing my ex tomorrow I just cant believe its taken a year I have started moving on and healing and its all going to be dragged up again! God knows how I am going to get through tonight!

Oh pinkbunny how awful for you. At least you don't have to see him and I am sure you will be taken care of. It should be him who's terrified - of being locked up!! Ba$t@rd. I hope you get on OK - good luck and be strong.

Thanks guys I just want to get it over with once and for all, I am sure he will be more worried than me I found out once I had left him that he had a huge criminal history! I knew this man for 2 years before our relationship started, it just shows though that sometimes you dont know people as well as you think you do!
One minute I am shaking in my boots the next I think "bring it on" Well in 24 hours my bit will be done then its down to the jury to decide! Fingers crossed!!

The court has just phoned and its still on for tomorrow the last 3 times it has been cancelled last minute and re sceduled so I am glad that this time it seems like its going to happen! I should get the result on thursday so I will let you all know. The hard thing is that I know he is guilty he knows he is guilty its just upto the jury now to see that he is guilty, he is a very good liar though but the weight of evidence is really stacked against him so with any luck they will see straight through him!

pinkbunny, have you got Witness Support there for you tomorrow? do you know where you have to go when you get there? I wish you heaps of luck.. you'll be fine! my money says he'll change his plea to guilty and you won't have to give evidence.

Yes sara I have got witness support we have arranged to meet somewhere in the morning. I also know where the court is as I went on a pre trial visit and looked round the court room it was really scarry though looked like a set from the Bill!! I have not been to court before all this happened. I just really hope they can see through him me and my girls need to move on without fear from him. If he is found not guilty all his restrictions will be lifted and there will be nothing to stop him just knocking on my door!

Dont worry about his restrictions being lifted when spoke to court liason officer he told me to ensure that I put in a request for a restraining order apparantly can still be granted even if he gets not guilty which he wont.

You have been so strong and your 2 girls need you they will keep you strong especially your older daughter hope she copes tomorrow.

Good Luck you are doing a brave and the right thing for you and your daughters. Tomorrow will be tough for you but you have alredy shown your strength in being able to leave him and take the matter to court as you said you have moved on . I hope all of these makes you see how much of a survivor you truely are.He can no longer hurt you know. Know that there are many sending you good wishes and when it is all over hopefully you could move even further in getting on and having the truely happy life you deserve.
