I am considering smashing up my soon to be ex husband's 3 week old brand new Porsche in an attempt to convince him that (a) I wont be paying for half of it, (b) Id like some child and spousal maintenance as he hasnt paid any in the 18 months we've been separated, and (c) Id like at least some of my capital before he spends it all.

I thought Id wait till he was out of it on Christmas Day when he comes to play Mr Bountiful, and then use a baseball bat on the glass and paint stripper on the body.

I was wondering what offence this would be and that consequences might be as I cannot risk a custodial sentence. Your constructive expertise will be most welcome.

whilst I appreciate your moral judgement I wonder if naomi, sara or cazz can actually answer the question or are you just arm-warmingly decrying me..
answer what, you want us to cheer gleefully for you so you can feel really good for 10 mins whilst you take your anger out on a car? will the kids be watching?
What does "arm-warmingly decrying" mean?
up to 10 years should the damage be over 5k and it goes to Crown Court.
If done you'll probably be charged with criminal damage.....it's only a car at the end of the day.
I suppose you wont have to worry about the school run then..
and the kids can visit you for 2 hours every fortnight. they'll be searched when they arrive.. and perhaps consider who will bring them to these prison visits.. probably not your ex.
I used to work for a car repair company. Would you like me to tell you the best way to damage it?
I can't understand why they can't deduct it from the errant fathers wages, before he gets it, just like they do with tax. Wouls solve a lot of problems.

I agree with Cazzz, sara and naomi, you're a mother first and no matter what you feel for your ex, criminal damage isn't going to do anything to help your cause.

Get in touch with the CSA.

He's not answering the letters. Read Mayploe's replys....!!!!
if you want to bring child murderers into this, consider that you are an adult and you're expected to handle anger a bit better.

no one doubts you're having a tough time, but sometime in the future you should look back and give yourself a big pat on the back for your dignified behaviour. your ex sounds like an arse, but what you've considered is lowering yourself considerably. hold your head up and plough on. look to the future for yourself and your children. you sound like you're well rid of him.
Hey knobby.....so it's ok to watch your kids go without while you go and get a porshe???????

agreed sara, I have been very very poor and survived
