The simple answer is yes. For causing ABH section 47 has a 5yr maximum. But it does depend on the circumstances, was it aggravated, what injury was caused and your circumstances; your previous convictions, mitigation etc. Find a good lawyer and see what sentences people get for ABH on http://www.thelawpages.com.
