gbh and section 39 beating
ive been charged with section 20 and section 39..... i was drinking in my local with my girlfriend , we had 3 pints each so wasnt drunk at all. the wife of the manager that runs this pub was at the bar drunk with her daughter it was her and her husbands day off on a sunday as they always go to rugby. The wife of the manager of the pub started an arguemnt with me and my girlfriend for no reason at all so this upset me and i wanted to know whta her problem was as this got into a 5 minute arguemnt which got a few people involved the next minute her husband the (manager ) walked in and asked what was going on so i told him that his wife was drunk and i know she doest like my girlfriend and started on us for no reason, with this about 8 people was involved half was saying i didnt do out and the other half was like bar people and the close friends of the manger and his wife.......... then everyone was pushing eachother as i turn about the wife of the manger hit me in the face and her husband grabbed me from behind so if i waned to hit back i couldnt, then she pushed me and i fell over on top of her husband and a few other people as i got up the wife of the manger started shouting ive stamped and punched her husband and head butted her in the nose. all of this isnt true, the manager has a broken leg.all im guilty of is sticking up for my girlfriend and wanting to know what we have done wrong? i might of looked mad but i never hit or stamped on anyone and out of 8 people who made a statement nnot one said they seen me punch or stamped on anyone apart from the wife and her close friend that has lied for her!.....also want to point out that they all got kicked out of the pub next door for been to drunk an hour before they started on us also they told the police that there cctv had a tech fault that day so no cctv and also they have been asked to leave the pub at the end of this yeah

Presumably you will have a solicitor representing you. He should be in a better position to advise.
Of couse this story is told from your perspective. I'm not saying it's not true- I'm just saying that some of the other parties involved will probably tell a slightly different version of events. If many witnesses support your version you may be okay.
Looking ahead, the best advice I can give is to avoid getting in these situations in the first place- just walk away before things escalate.

I've just realised there's another thread on here from your other posting, which makes things more difficult.http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Law/Question792 667.html
i understand about the walking away thing but sometimes that isnt easy to do.............you have to understand that this women might of been the wife of the husband thats running this pub that dont give her the right to get drunk every sunday and start on people ive seen her do it loads of times. Also in my eyes they isnt one person that i know if he loves his girlfriend of wife would stand and let some women or man start on her for no reason, and if you did or just walked away i would seriously consider wether you should be with someone like that.................i stood by my girlfriend and myself because we didnt do out wrong and im sorry but id do the same again an argument is an argument which in my eyes is fine i never hit anyone so really i did keep my cool and its not my fault for his injury
Did this incident occur on the same night as the incident in a pub that led to a charge of criminal damage?
