ABH on a minor
My grandson has been burnt with a hot blow torch and had his feet kicked off of a chair, both of which were occasioned by teachers. Does this constitue ABH?

NO this is not a wind up, you think iv'e got nothing better to do?
During a science lesson, using blow torches on copper pipes, the teacher walked round the classroom with a hot blow pipe and, although no one is saying it was done on purpose, he managed to burn my grandsons arm with the blow torch.
The second incident, was while m grandson had his feet on an empty chair, and yes we know he should not have had them there, a teacher came and kicked his feet off.
I am asking this question, not because any legal or police involvment is being considered, but because we want to complain to the head and i want to be certain of what is being said.

Blow torch thing sounds iike an accident, how did it actually happen? What has your grandson said.
I had a teacher kick a chair out from under my legs once as I had my feet on it, scared the life out of me when she did it but I never put my feet on a chair in geography again. If the teacher actually kicked the grandson then that's worth his parents talking to the teacher about and if they feel the need, escalating to head teacher.

No he kicked his feet, hte blow torch incident was reported and my son asked for an appology from the teacher to my grandson, which never happened. The only reason i am asking this question is because someone has said that it would be abh, i know that a solicitor was willing to take up the blow torch incident, but my son decided not to go with legal action
