When people post at this time of day/night, my first question has to be "Are you in the UK?".

This website is UK-based. If you're in the UK,you can leave home at the age of 16 and live where you like, and with whom you like. (You can also have consensual sex with anyone whom you deem to be appropriate).

If you're outside of the UK you should post on a website for your own locality (where the laws may well be different to those here). For example, if you're in the USA, you should try

Are you in the UK?
The UK law states your can have sex from 16 years upwards " with parents concent " , however i would advice making sure that you think carefully about it and make sure you use protection if you do decide to go ahead with it.

As far as living with him. This is a big move both finacially and emotionaly , which would obviously put a large strain on the both of you . something else you should think long and hard about.

Talking to your parents regarding your thoughts / idea's regarding your boyfriend " especialy with such important life changing things " can bring different view points that you may not have already considered, as well as much needed support if things go terribly wrong.

As for the legal age of living together " and i could be wrong as im no legal guru " i believe you need your parents concent to leave home before your 18. however if i am incorrect i am sure someone will correct this .

Remember this is a UK based site therefore my answer's are UK based only.
If you leave home at 16 the police/authorities will not make you return. They won't do too much if you're younger as long as you are in a safe environment.
Just to be clear, and per Chris' post above - if you're mailing from Ireland then it's not legal til you turn 17.
You must have reached the age of majority to be able to sign a legally binding contract so if you want to rent somewhere you'd need to be 18 in England.
S_C's post is misleading. No parental consent is required for sexual activity where both participants are at least 16. It's only marriage at 16 which requires parental consent. (Again, that only applies in the UK. Different laws will apply elsewhere).
however if i am incorrect i am sure someone will correct this .

Buenchico is correct parental concent is not required for sex.

thanks for correction.

however the advice about talking with parents about the decisions that were on the table was and is good advice. so please do not ignore the whole post.
I think its very mature of you to wait and find out about the legality of things. Well done you
So you can not live away from home until you are 18 then? I did not know that; that is a bit of a blow then is is not? What if a relative dies, and then leaves you a property in their will. Can you live in it then without parental consent?
I didn't say you couldn't move out until 18, I said you can't sign a contract. Not the same thing.
