If all illegal drugs were legalised, and subsequently taxable, that would automatically eradicate a lot of the associated crimes? Money laundering, prostitution, human trafficking et al. Legalisation would also bring in mch needed money to the economy.

That argument has been put forward many times, and may be the answer, but no one wants to take the risk, and also appear to be implying drug taking is acceptable. Maybe one day.

The jobless would still commit crime to fund their habit regardless of whether or not they were legal.
Yep, shops are still getting broken in to for the fags and booze.

I am all for cannabis to be legalised, but the hardcore stuff can kill someone with one fix so should remain illegal.
why on earth would you think you are the only one who has ever had these thoughts?
But some drugs (alcohol included granted) cause people to lose their jobs and then crime would be turned to to fund their habit anyway. I don't see the link between legalising drugs and human trafficking either?
Is there something you are not telling us, smart1?
Yep - I'd advocate that, especially if it meant I could get my hands on some nice pure charlie without having to part with £50 for one bleedin gram.
you need to read Crack House by Harry Keeble and Kris Hollington
In there is some information about why drugs should NOT be legalised
