Parental Responsibility - witness to sign
My husband is applying for parental responsibility - the witness on the form must be 'a justice of the peace', a 'justices clerk', 'an assistant to a justice' clerk' or 'an officer of the court authorised by the judge to administer oaths'. Who are these people and how do I find one?

Each Magistrates Court has a time set aside for the administration of oaths. (It's usually 9.45am, on one or more weekdays each week). Contact your local Magistrates Court for details of when your husband needs to attend, and what proof of identity he'll need to take with him:

Then the clerks where its being done can do it for you or at the very least, know who can witness it. There is very likely to be someone in the offices.
Parental Responsibility cases aren't necessarily heard in a Magistrates court. Cases in my area are dealt with within our HMRC offices - County Court. It's much less formal then for the children for a start
