If someone takes out some from of credit using an address they don't live at (and never have) and a telephone number that they know is no longer registered to that address? (PS - hope it is illegal as I am a vindictive cow who would love to see this person get what I feel they deserve.) Thanks

Yes it's illegal, but in all probability nothing will happen because the credit company may well not take it to the courts other than to recover their money and you certainly have no say in the matter. You haven't actually lost anything.

That's a shame - would love to see him get in trouble. (I only know that he has done this as he has used our telephone number and I have had a debt collection company ringing trying to contact him.)
Well, it sounds like fraud to me and if someone had used my telephone number to fraudulently obtain money (and possibly impact on my credit reference) I would certainly be doing something about it.
well he may not get sent away but you could certainly cause him a bit of trouble...write to the company and explain what hes done, and give them his genuine details

let them deal with it..they may demand he pay back immediately
Nope, it's fraud.
Definately fraud. It is people like that, that cause the rest of us to pay higher interest. Take him to the cleaners!
