no. you have to let your landlord in (with reasonable notice) as he has the right to access his/her property, but you do not have to let prospective tenants or anyone else in that you do not want to. that is all.....x
Think you would have to let them in, Landlord might have them moving in on the day you move out. He would not want to be losing out on rental money for the Flat if he waits until you move out before having prospective tenants viewing the property.
As CF says it will be in your tenancy agreement if permitted, which you would have signed before moving in it is a very standard clause, often only towards the end of your tenancy and usually giving you notice and at reasonable times. I am very surprised if there is no mention of this in your tenancy agreement.
I would have thought reasonable access wasnt too much to ask - remember you want your deposit back! It makes sense to have a good clean and tidy up and set say on Sat afternoon aside for showings.

thanks all ,all sorted, landlord can come in ,but must arrange time, he cannot bring anyone in whilst i m here, and has agreed not too. many thanks to all who answered my querie.
