Gness..lol...I may even be up on a GBH charge by next episode !!!!
i envy you, murray

i would love the chance to serve on a jury .. i find court proceedingd fascinating.
Have you been to many Excel? They are as dull as dishwater....
I was called once, GP got me out as I'd just had a baby. Next calling a year and a bit later, same reason.

A bit expensive tho Murray, and too short a time.

Excelsior..so do I when I can observe from the comfort of my sofa with a cup of tea..or tincture in my hand..but to be up dressed presentable and at the court house for such an early hour..I will have to be out before the milkman !!!
Well, if I ever get called up I shall give my address as Answerbank on the Wold. That should do it.
i've not been to any in person.

i've seen footage of trials in progress.

i would welcome the chance to use my analytical brain in the court.
excelsior, there is nothing to stop you following a trial from the public gallery.
I have been on Jury service ( believe it or not ) two cases, one very interesting and one I took great pleasure in voting guilty.
Bleugh, feel for you... Luckily I've never been called and I hope I never am, I really wouldn't want to do it. Hate the idea of having that kind of responsibility. My dad had to do it a while ago and had a really complex fraud case, poor man had brain ache for a long time.
Dead easy to get out of. If you are called, just let it be known that the defendant is known to you.
With my luck Mike I would fit the description of the accomplice they are searching for.
Another get out is to let it be known that you are studying part-time for a law degree with the intention of entering the legal profession.
Is insanity enough to get me off jury duty or is it just the person being tried who has that option?
It certainly is , Wolf. All you have to do when about to be sworn in is shout, "Hang the bastard!"
Nah - something more subtle like turning up in my jammies with my two moggies on leads.
Take a hint from Capt Blackadder!

If you do that, Wolf, you will be perceived as representative of the community and will almost certainly be sworn in.
:-)
