Hi,
A question from a friend.
He's resigned as a branch manager of a company that is shutting down its' UK branch next year. The headquarters are based abroad and he was asked if the company could arrange a postal redirection service for all mail in his name to be forwarded to another UK address (residential). He is wondering if this is a normal practice? What are his rights in terms of his name/surname usage by the company after he's left? Many thanks!!!
By "all mail" surely they mean "all mail to their ,soon to be ex, business address" ? If so it seems a reasonable request. Your friend won't be interested in their business mail addressed to him or not. Unless he gets personal mail there, in which case he ought not do so.
Thanks guys. Even if it's John Smith, Company Name, 32 High Street, all mail sent to 'Company Name' will go to the new address, regardless of person's name. Thanks again! Media URL: http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/BusinessRedirection_application_0.pdf Description:
