Oh dear me. A bit of a mixed bag of information above, in terms of usefulness.
Do not use the website that Chuckfickens suggests; it is a commercial site selling the same goddam information that can be purchased for £12 directly from the LR. Its a rip-off and, as the website points out, they can only supply title information if your land is registered. That's because they buy it for peanuts direct from the LR and sell it onto you.
The most useful input comes from factor30 when he asks what you want it for. Land registration at the LR on transfer from one proprietor to another has been compulsory in ALL parts of England and Wales for over 10 years now (well the last area went compulsory) and for many parts it has actually been compulsary for over 50 years! That means that when you had the land transferred to you following probate, registration may well have occurred.
The best way to solve this is to put your address into this website and the LR will tell you whether they have a registration record or not.
