The legal aid budget has been slashed recently , the types of case where you can get it have been reduced and the amount cut as well. What type of case is it ?
By the way I assume you know that legal aid goes direct to the persons legal team , you never see a penny of it in cash. Your solicitor / barrister will apply on your behalf if he/she thinks your case qualifys for it. Do not start action untill you know that legal aid will be granted as if you start procedings and then you fail to get legal aid you will owe a lot of money.
