i understand why you want this revenge if he genuinely has made her life a misery - but be prepared for not very much to happen to him ... expect to just annoy him.

What does your daughter want to do?
1)If he was only 21 and she was 15, he had a defence that, if he had not been previously charged with a like offence, he believed she was 16. If your daughter is against you interfering, and has any wit when she hears the legal advice he would receive if charged, she will support that defence.
.
2)The chances of her wishing to testify are nil, anyway.
3)And there's no way the CPS are going to hold that it is in the public interest that he be charged now, nor is it likely that they will think the evidence is such that there is a sufficiently realistic chance of a conviction.
Does that help? How much good do you think going to the police now will do?

It's a bit late now to complain, I bet there are hundreds of women who have gone through the same turmoil and eventually had the guts to leave the barstewards. Unless she wants to call the Police the next time he batters her. But at the end of the day she is now a grown woman with a mind of her own, the time to call for help was before she married him.
