Is there any kind of requirement for a firm to give you a payslip at a certain time....eg before you're paid ? My wife works in a care home and it's sometimes a week after she gets paid before she gets her pay slip for the month (her wages go in absolutely fine)
The law on this is provided by s.8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 (Itemised pay statement):
"An employee has the right to be given, at or before the time at which any payment of wages or salary is made to him, a written itemised pay statement."
