What does this 'proof' consist of?
To say something in court that you don't agree with isn't necessarily lying. It's their job to secure a conviction and the judge sets the fine.

You would have to be able to prove they had knowingly misled the court. This is very serious as it would be perverting the course of justice and I can't see anyone doing that to secure a heftier fine. What happened exactly and what proof do you have?

It's a byelaw, they took two of us to court my mate pleaded guilty for picking cockles and then the prosecution lawyer then said can you take in to consideration that the beds were closed due to high level of E. coli. He then got a much bigger fine I now have proof that they weren't closed due to E. coli. Thanks

How do you know he got a bigger fine?
Is this a large fine because I don't think you will have much success in pursuing this tbh?

His solicitor didn't say anything as he must of just excepted they were telling the true. The magistrates said they took it in consideration and that they give him a heavier find because of this, plus I'm in court trial next month they have no proof on me because I weren't with him I had been on beach fishing 3hours before him but they put us on trial together. Would this evidence I have help my case? Thanks

He works for the fisheries and he must of been told this or made it up
What does his Solicitor say now he has this proof the the beds were not closed due to E Coli?

He is the best one to advise his client.

I can't see how this detail makes any difference to your case as you were not Cockling and presumably will say so in Court.

Only found out this afternoon but we can't get hold of him

The fisheries have lied a lot and the statements contradict a lot, but I have been told by my sol that they will more likely take the fisheries side. So can we get this kicked out of court as lie have lied in court? I know it's not the reason why we've been taken to court but they have lied to make things worse for us
So is this case still ongoing and do you have a solicitor already?
Well if you believe you have absolute proof that the Lawyer representing the Fisheries is corrupt then your Solicitor should act on it.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
