i am from belfast, i have recieved a notification to go to court or have valuables removed from my home by this firm - uk parking control ltd.

they say i parked on yellow lines inside a shopping centre car park ( yorkgate shopping centre belfast)

not outside on government or council ground.

wish i could grab the boss of this firm by the throat , imagine all the vunerable pensioners etc who get taken on by these scummy firms, i dont think its legal for them to threaten me with court orders etc, then again i could be wrong . i never ever got any ticket.

just read this below, seems i have got my answer allready, this company is a bunch of scammers.

UKPC cant not "fine" anyone. They can not clamp your car. They can be safely ignored. The only thing they believe they can do is attempt to charge you a "parking charge," however if you do what most do here just ignore them and they will send a few letters and then crawl back where they came from.

PS: UKPC utter some complete tosh on their letters don't be intimidated.
well, didn't you fail to tell DVNI about your change of address?
Question Author
bednobs, go get a life ;-)
I think bednobs may have simply been suggesting an explanation as to why you "never got any ticket"
Question Author
fiction, no she isnt , she is flaming again as she has been doing in many of my previous posts, she needs to catch herself on.

and anyway what would the change of my address have to do with her comment ?
Because you were registered with DVNI as being in Belfast but were living in Liverpool from the look of a previous thread- although I only read it quickly so may have misunderstood.

my post has nothing whatsoever to do with my address. wont get into anymore bickering about it, ive got my answer allready
Oh you are aptly named are you not.
Did you park on yellow line? If you are denying being there and that they have the wrong car/person you can successfully counter any claim they may try to make.

If not and you did in fact park contrary to the regulations......PARK PROPERLY next time. That way you won't have this sort of thing happen will you?!
I'm fairly sure the parking regulations recently changed for these private companies and it is no longer quite so cut and dried with regards to ignoring the penalty.

If you haven't updated your address with DVNI you really should as it is an offence. Given how unlucky you are with legal incursions you'd do well to mitigate any penalties heading your way.
I have the same letter as you, saying I parked over the the maximum period,i have ignored it so far but its quite scary,i was going to pay it but son says NO?i had my blue badge on display.this is from October 2014,i think the charge now stands about £100 odds
sorry Dick, fiction factory is right, You mentioned can they take your stuff, even though you never got a ticket. I am merely suggesting you didn't get a ticket cause they didn't know where to send it.
Question Author
ive done lots of research , the company has no rights. they say i now owe £160 for parking in a hatched line area within a private shopping car park.

they can sing for it.
Question Author
sorry bednobs. i will need to lighten up it a flaw of mine sometimes one amoungst many ;-)
Here is a little bit more about them. They have never been to court....

.... except where they were charged/convicted of fraud.
