Does anyone know how long it takes to registry a Title with the Land Registry? Can solicitors do it online?

Thanks.

It can't be done online as various physical documents (such as a certificate of identity) need to be submitted.

The procedure for first registration of a title is rather more complex than that for simply transferring a title. Viewing Sections 2 and 3 here will explain the differences (and might give you some sort of idea of the time scale involved):

Thank you......the buyer for my late mothers property is having to register the title on his property (before completing his sale and purchase of mine) and as this is holding everything up, I just wondered how long it will take!
It depends on the quality of the original documents presented to the LR. LR seem to be one of the more efficient Government departments and routinely turn these sort of things around in a few days if the information submitted is complete enough for them first time around.

If not, and they have to make further enquiries or seek further clarifications from the applicant or his agent, it could take a few weeks
