Divorce, Custody And Child Support?
5 Answers
My husband has decided he wants to get a divorce, as he's found a new woman. He wants to kick me out of the house (a rent to own agreement in his name only, thanks to his mothers input)
get the majority of custody with her, and not pay me child support.
He has been physically abusive with me in the past, though i have no proof of that other than word of mouth from his family, and has a history of cheating (he has abused and cheated on myself, and his first wife)
He was also mentally/emotionally abusive towards me.
I have battled depression in the past, so our home has been very messy in the past, but no longer anywhere near that bad, and I'm afraid that he will use old pictures (2+ years old) and gain custody.
can I get the majority of custody of our children, and remain in this home while getting child support and/or alimony?
