Cannabis Advice Please!

No I'm not taking it and never have!! I've discovered that someone very close to me is growing it in their garage behind a secret wall, and then harvesting it and selling it. It's meant to be a one off thing but I'm really shocked. I had no idea as I have no sense of smell. I've told them( it's the man doing it but woman knows) how stupid they are being, and the woman isn't happy about it at but he says he's just doing it to get some money for the family. Apart from being worried sick for them it suddenly occurred to me - what on earth would happen if the police turned up whilst I was there?? Would I be arrested??

Eddie, The police WILL NOT charge anyone unless they can prove it by evidence.I also speak from experience of 22 years in the Force.

^ Know all that. I still maintain that if a house with a specially built wall to hide cannabis production is raided all those who live there and possibly other relatives who are visiting will be arrested. The grounds will be that they must have known about it! Possibly one person will make a confession and say it is all their fault and the others were unaware and so get them off the hook.

Eddie, the presence of a specially built wall would surely be evidence that visitors did not know about it: it will have been built precisely to stop them finding out.

I am going by what I have learned from talking to convicted drug dealers /suppliers inside a prison when I was working in the education department.
What I learnt was that in similar cases the police charge every one they possibly can and let the courts sort it out!

^^ You are being ridiculous divebuddy of course a milkman or other trader would not be arrested. But family members living in the house and any close relatives visiting could be! Unless, as I said earlier someone has the guts to confess and take responsibility.

Sigh....and the chance of a visitor being arrested is pretty slim. Fair enough if the visitor was trollied but sitting having a chin wag stone cold sober.

If the police come I think all the people there would be arrested but once they find out that you have nothing to do with it they will let you go. Overall I think marijuana soon will be legalized in many countries like the US ( https://www.gotvape.com/vaporizer-blog/gone-green/ ), did. Other European countries allow medical cannabis ( http://www.medicalmarijuana.eu/ ) but the recreational use is still not legal. So be very careful and stay away from it for now.
