When I met MrF, he had a previous marriage behind him (incl 3 kids) and was living with his mother.
Along the line he moved in with me, we married and had 2 children. And eventually bought a house together, from '89 on it was may wages paid the mortgage as he had an horrendous industrial accident.
With everything that is going on here I am left wondering....if the inevitable happens (or when) does he previous family have any claim at all on any proceeds from our house, or will it just be divided between 'our' boys?
MrF brought nothing into the relationship from his 'old' life, other than a few bits of clothing.
Should have thought all this out years ago, shouldn't I ?

A properly made Last Will and Testament will make all this clear.

So the others have no claim??
That is my main worry.
Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 has been covering a topic along these lines in his show today. It was in the first half hour (ie 12-12.30) If you could catch it on i-player you may find it interesting. I am no legal expert BTW unlike some other Abers.
