Can a 16 year old supermarket worker ok the purchase of energy drinks (needs to be 16 to buy) or does the worker still have to be 18? A disagreement between supervisors at the supermarket I work in. Thanks.

As the ban on sales to under 16s is purely voluntary (it's not illegal to sell them), who can authorise it will be entirely up to the store management.
